Rachel Luebbert is an arts administrator, dance educator, and choreographer who is excited to be a part of the Dance/USA Programming Team. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Utah with a BFA in Modern Dance, a BA in Spanish, and a minor in Business. During her studies, she published an honors thesis entitled The Female Bildungsroman through Movement and Performance that researched the use of coming of age narratives as a device to build community within performance practices.
At Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Rachel worked in the Community Engagement Department to support the development of more inclusive programming at this long running festival. Rachel has worked at Dance Place in both the Technical Theatre and Development departments and as an Administrative Associate for Jane Franklin Dance. In addition to her work with Dance/USA, Rachel serves as an Academic Advisor in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Utah, teaches dance classes at South Valley Creative Dance, and produces interdisciplinary dance performances.
