The annual Dance Forum brings together a wide variety of individuals working in the dance industry to discuss immediate, field-wide issues. During the Dance Forum, Dance/USA also provides updates on upcoming programs, new research initiatives, membership, and more. Dance Forum is free and open to the entire dance community. Past topics have covered national trends in funding, the myths and realities of touring, and success stories for inspiring audiences and presenting dance.
In 2021, we explored the field’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, new developments and partnerships that have manifested as a result of this crisis, and most importantly how this all may affect your work now and in the future. Programming included the following:
Speakers from the NEA shared new guidelines on how to successfully navigate the upcoming grant cycle,
Medical experts provided guidance on best practices to keep your communities safe,
Organizations that have joined forces shared the unified process of their creative collaborations.
