Bronx, NY | Munsee Lenape

Kwikstep recently danced with the Phil Harmonic Orchestra at Lincoln Center at the David Geffen Hall in a Hip hop dance rendition of The Fire Bird. He has also choreographed and created music for a new piece called Dragon Cipher for the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company at NJPAC Winter 2023, and most recently has choreographed and danced at the Jacob’s Pillow, The Met, as well as the Guggenheim Museum through Works and Process.

Kwikstep also known as DJ KS 360 was witnessing the decline of the NYC club scene and how it was not offering spaces for the underground dance community. So, in 2009 he created a never before seen non top 40 open music format dance party called Behind The Groove, catering to all of the underground classic street and club dance styles. Behind The Groove has been putting bodies in motion, healing souls, and helping dancers forget their troubles on the dance floor for the last 15 years.
