Last week, the House voted against the Grothman amendment, which would have drastically cut the NEA budget, and voted for an Interior bill that provides an additional $2 million to the agency, which would bring the NEA budget to $155 million for FY2019.

This week, the Senate will hold a floor vote on the U.S. Department of Interior budget, which includes funding for the NEA. Like the House of Representatives, the Senate Appropriations Committee has also approved a budget of $155 million for FY2019.

Please take an opportunity to write to your senators and urge them to fund the budget request for the NEA proposed by the Appropriations Committee and recently passed by the House.
