Melissa Lineburg, membership assistant, is a professional dance artist in Washington, DC and performs throughout the region. She is obtaining a Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and holds a BFA in Dance Performance with a Business Administration minor from Radford University. Melissa is passionate about supporting the arts, specifically dance, through her administration work at Dance/USA, The Washington Ballet, and through her health + wellness coaching practice, eMpower health + wellness. She is co-founder, managing director, and company artist at Ballet Embody where she creates, performs work, and supports the company’s artists. Melissa has an extensive performing career with companies including, but not limited to, Ballet Embody, Misako Ballet Company, and Agora Dance on stages from the Kennedy Center to Dance Place and regional theaters to Capital Fringe Festival. She’s also worked with and performed works created by artists and choreographers including Constantine Baecher, Mark Caserta, Emery LaCrone, Christopher K Morgan, Vanessa Owen, Michael Smith, and more.
