Charlotte Ballet's 2018/2019 Season Company Dancer Audition will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at noon in The Ailey Studios, The Joan Weill Center for Dance (405 West 55th Street at 9th Avenue New York, NY 10019). Registration begins at 11 AM. Please arrive with a resume and head shot and be prepared to fill out and turn in the audition form. There is a $20 application fee payable by cash or credit card. A world-class repertory dance ensemble, Charlotte Ballet performs a wide variety of classical and contemporary dance with a firm commitment to cutting-edge commissions, ensuring a vibrant and challenging repertoire for statewide and national audiences. Auditions are intended for dancers who have trained in both classical and contemporary dance disciplines. Charlotte Ballet is committed to seeking and sustaining a culturally and ethnically diverse company and therefore encourages all dancers of ethnic minorities to audition.

Giordano Dance Chicago is holding auditions. Male and female dancers for the main company must be at least 22 years of age. Dancers must have a strong ballet and jazz technique. GDC consists of ten dancers, five men and five women. Salaried non-union contracts are offered. Giordano II positions are available starting at 22 years of age. The company tours nationally and internationally.

Houston Ballet is having an audition tour for admission to the Summer Intensive Program. Admittance into the summer intensive program is by audition at one of our 18 audition locations or by video audition. Houston Ballet Academy students enrolled for the 2018 Spring Semester do not need to audition for the summer program and summer placement will be emailed to current students in December.
The six-week summer intensive program for Levels 5 - 8 is June 18 - July 27, 2018. Level 5 students have the option of attending six weeks or the three-week program June 18-July 7, 2018.
The Lower School summer intensive programs are June 4 – June 16, 2018 and August 6 - August 18, 2018. Auditions for the Lower School program are only held in Houston.
Both auditions occur at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre Studios (LWDT), 3773 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016. For more information about the auditions, click here.

Verb Ballets' Trainee Program is geared for students ages 16 and older who are preparing for a professional dance career. The Trainee Program seeks to develop young aspiring professional dancers into professional dancers through a carefully and individualized study plan. Trainees participate in company classes and rehearsals while having the opportunity to perform with Verb Ballets during the season and work with guest choreographers. Trainees also work with the company dancers in educational and community outreach activities throughout the year. The personal attention and guidance provided by Producing Artistic Director and Associate Director help to prepare and guide each student for their dance future. Trainees who are invited back for a second year and complete two consecutive years of study in this program will receive a certificate of training upon completion of their second year. This is a tuition based year-round program for a maximum of two years. Students are selected to participate in the Trainee Program by audition.
