The 2020 Annual Conference was shifted to a virtual convening format held on June 17-19, 2020. This Virtual Conference was open to all as we assembled in the spirit of solidarity to face a time of unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As with our prior Annual Conferences, this reconceptualized virtual model allowed attendees to uncover innovative approaches to mutual questions, share and access new resources and strengthen relationships among fellow dance professionals in order to create a more unified and sustainable field for the dancers of tomorrow.

Virtual Sessions

The 2020 Virtual Conference included a series of six webinars and three pre-recorded movement classes. Topics ranged from mental and physical health to federal advocacy. Post-Conference events included Dance Business Bootcamp and the Archiving and Preservation workshop.

Closing Plenary Session

The Dance/USA 2020 Virtual Conference Closing Plenary session took place Friday, June 19. The Closing Plenary included a keynote address by founder and artistic director of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Cleo Parker Robinson, followed by a celebratory toast.
