Bandaloop

Bandaloop is seeking one new company member for its 2013/14 season. You must be available to perform and rehearse selected dates in March, April, May, June, and July and throughout end of 2013. Full company touring schedule is roughly 10-12 weeks over the year.
We are looking for a highly skilled post-modern dancer with an adventurous spirit interested in performing in multiple environments including on the sides of mountains and buildings. A strong candidate is a dancer with a fluid, dynamic, original movement style, mature communication skills, and the ability to collaborate. Climbing or rope skills is not mandatory but useful.
Callbacks will be on Sunday, February 17 from 1-4pm.

School of Alberta Ballet

The School of Alberta Ballet, located in the heart of downtown Calgary, invites promising students aged 10 – 20 to audition for the 2013-14 Professional Division.
The School offers a full-year professional ballet training program, as well as its own junior and senior high academic program and residence. The Professional Division trains students who aspire to a professional career in dance, requiring students to train up to six days each week over 11 months. Students who have finished high school can audition for the Professional Graduate program, as they prepare themselves for a career on the stage, often gaining performance experience dancing alongside the Alberta Ballet Company dancers.

Interested applicants are encouraged to audition in person by attending one of the open auditions. However, DVD's are accepted. DVD's should include a minimum of one classical variation (ladies on pointe) and one contemporary variation, in addition to basic classroom center work and should be mailed with resume, headshot and full body dance shot in care of Jacob Sparso, Ballet Master.
OKC Ballet offers 30 week contracts with competitive salaries, company paid health insurance and physical therapy.

SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company

SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company will hold auditions for the 2013-2014 season, beginning September 2013 and running through June 2014.
Rehearsals are held every Sunday from 2-6pm. Dancers are paid for major concerts.
The audition will consist of: Ballet Barre, Contemporary Repertory, Improvisation Interview, Solo Performance. Dancers should prepare a one-minute solo in any genre showcasing their strengths.
