Trianon Ballroom | 3rd Floor | New York Hilton Midtown
1335 Avenue of the Americas I New York, NY
How do choreographers today create their work and
economically sustain themselves? How and why do they tour their work? What impact
has the New England Foundation for the Arts’ (NEFA) National Dance Project made on the
development of the dance field over its nearly 20 year history? How should it
evolve to best meet the changing and future needs of the dance sector?
Please join lead researcher, Metris Arts Consulting, and NEFA staff for a share out of preliminary findings from this research effort. The session will include interactive opportunities for the field to “ground-truth” the preliminary findings and shape the final research.
This session will take prior to Dance/USA's 2016 Dance Forum; be sure to stick around for Connections: Dance Touring and Performance Opportunities in the same room!
