William George Frederking is a photographer based on the campus of Columbia College in Chicago. He has been photographing the Chicago dance community since 1989. Mr. Frederking has established the Archive of Dance Photographs in the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College. The Archive currently contains approximately 100 photographs that will be digitalized and included in a database that will be available online to dance researchers.

Since 1988, Jeff Friedman has provided research-quality oral history services to the local San Francisco Bay Area, as well as to other regional, national and international dance communities. His work includes training and consulting with non-profit organizations, academic departments and private archives to help create new dance oral history programs. Jeff offers annual training workshops in the Bay Area, along with additional lectures, performances and curriculum materials on dance oral history.

Dr. Gilmore is a folklorist who specializes in ethnographic documentation with an emphasis on traditional arts and occupations. She has done formal and informal documentation of the Swedish-Finnish Runeberg Society's social and performance dance groups, and has a particular interest in the ethnic social dance traditions of the Upper Midwest. Dr. Gilmore also has an interest in the artistic and rhythical body movements in occupational settings (occupational dance), especially in jobs related to commercial fishing and boatbuilding.
