Pamela Robinson

Pamela Robinson is chief financial officer for Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and its renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey II, The Ailey School, The Ailey Extension, and Ailey’s Arts In Education program. Robinson oversees the organization’s $30 million budget, as well as human resources, building operations, the Extension program, and rentals. Robinson joined Ailey in 1997 during a time of extensive organizational growth, including the opening of Ailey’s first permanent home -- the 77,000-square-foot Joan Weill Center for Dance. 

She started her arts career in Washington, DC in 1985 with District Curators, a small avant-garde arts presenting organization, and also worked as a business manager and consultant for a number of non-profit arts and commercial entertainment companies. She received an MBA in Finance & Management from New York University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Maryland.
