Michelle Stortz is a Philadelphia based dance theater artist, educator, and arts advocate. She teaches contemporary dance at Bryn Mawr College and serves as Program Associate at Dance/USA Philadelphia. Her professional choreographic experience ranges from adult Shakespearian casts to Singaporean grade-schoolers with Greek thespians in between. She has performed, taught, and presented her work nationally and internationally and called ‘home base’ to Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Singapore, Corpus Christi, and Columbus, Ohio before moving to Philly. She holds an MFA in Choreography from Ohio State University and a BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin.
