Access Dance/USA Scholarships

“Access Dance/USA” is a scholarship program designed to subsidize attendance to Dance/USA convenings (Council Meetings and National Roundtables) for dance company administrators, dance artists and independent choreographers. Access Dance/USA is designed to introduce the experience of direct interaction with peers that occurs at Dance/USA convenings. Scholarships are available for those who could potentially benefit from the experience but could not otherwise afford to attend.

This year, Access Dance/USA scholarship money will support attendance at the 2007 Spring Council Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, June 14-16, 2007. The scholarship is intended to help defray the costs of registration, transportation, and hotel and dining expenses during the conference.

To apply for a scholarship, please download and fill out the appropriate form for your community (see below). A panel made up of representatives from the Dance/USA Board of Trustees will choose scholarship recipients.

The councils include: managers of companies broken down into four budget categories; presenters; agents/artist representatives; service organizations; artistic directors/choreographers; educators; dancers; and more. This year offers special events as Dance/USA kicks off our 25 th Anniversary Celebration. You can find out more about the agenda and Council events by visiting the Meetings page.
