Access Dance/USA Scholarships
“Access Dance/USA” is a scholarship program designed to subsidize attendance to Dance/USA convenings (Council Meetings and National Roundtables) for dance company administrators, dance artists and independent choreographers. The Access Dance/USA program is introduces the experience of direct interaction with peers that occurs at Dance/USA convenings. Scholarships are available for those who could potentially benefit from the experience but could not otherwise afford to attend.
This year, Access Dance/USA scholarships will support attendance to the National Performing Arts Convention and Dance/USA Roundtable in Denver, Colorado, June 10-14, 2008. The scholarship is intended to help defray the costs of registration, transportation, and hotel and dining expenses during the conference. In addition, each scholarship recipient will receive the equivalent of $150 to apply toward a one-year Dance/USA membership for the 2008-2009 membership year (July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009). This can cover a full Individual Membership, Artist Membership or may be applied toward organization dues.
