Kelsey MacEachern, a native of Peru, MA, graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University (GMU) with a degree in Dance. While at GMU she performed in countless works with the Mason Dance Company and choreographed six original works, some of which were presented at the American College Dance Association and the National Conference on Undergraduate Research.
Kelsey’s arts administration career began in 2011, where she worked as an Education Intern at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. She continued to work at the Pillow as a Festival employee until 2015. While at the Pillow, she took advantage of the countless opportunities for artistic and professional growth. She had the privilege of working with choreographer Dawn Lane, performing on the Pillow’s Inside/Out Stage, and collaborating in the creation of ALL RISE: Court Dance (2015), a recipient of the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Award Initiative, and Creative Development Residency.
Kelsey joined the Dance/USA staff in May 2016 as the Membership Fellow, transitioning into her current role as Membership Coordinator in November 2016. In addition to her work at Dance/USA, she has worked as a stage manager for the Mason Dance Company.
