Jessica Denson, Research Associate for Dance/USA, attained her Masters of Fine Arts in Dance from The George Washington University in January, 2017 and her Bachelors of the Arts in Dance from the University of Maryland, College Park many years before that. She worked as a research assistant in biological and behavioral science labs while attending both universities and spent many years working in finance administration at GWU. Jessica is an interdisciplinary performing and teaching artist who uses her art-making to facilitate meaningful interpersonal investigations and cross-cultural conversations. She is currently a company member/community relations manager with Contradiction Dance, performing contributor with darlingdance company, and house manager at the Blues Alley Jazz Supper Club. Jessica has facilitated intergenerational, community choreography workshops around the DC metropolitan area and especially loves teaching Early Childhood Creative Movement.
