Gregory Holt is a freelance dancer and choreographer based in Philadelphia. In addition to creating and performing, he is an organizer at Mascher Space Co.op, a cooperatively run non-profit for dance in North Philadelphia. With a background in linguistics, he comes to Dance/USA Philadelphia having worked at the Alaska Native Languages Center and Friends House Moscow. He is a working board member at the Life Center Association, a community housing land trust in West Philadelphia.
Holt has worked with Ishmael Houston-Jones, Christopher Williams, Jumatatu Poe, and extensively with choreographers throughout the region. His own work has been seen around the US and Europe, and he has taught improvisation and dance composition nationally and abroad. He was a 2011 Live Arts Fellow through the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival.
