Dance/USA is the primary advocate for the not-for-profit professional dance. As a founding member of the American Arts Alliance, Dance/USA works together with other national performing arts service organizations to provide the field with timely information on significant government issues. Dance/USA members automatically become members of the American Arts Alliance and receive ongoing information from the Alliance regarding the advocacy efforts in Washington and beyond.

Why You Should Get Involved....

Dance advocacy is one of the most important roles for Dance/USA. Our goal is to motivate Dance/USA members to become their own advocates by providing you with information to send to your members of Congress and helping members to set up constituent visits both in Washington, DC and in your home district. It is the job of elected officials to listen to the needs of their constituents and they want to hear from you! If the arts field does not voice its needs and concerns, the arts will not be a concern of your elected officials.
