Action Alerts

As a member of Dance/USA, you will receive Action Alerts by email from the American Arts Alliance (AAA) when important legislation affecting arts organizations is moving through Congress. The Alerts describe the legislation, offer background information if necessary, and suggest action you can take. In most cases, when Dance/USA requests action, sample letters will accompany the Alerts. Using AAA's sample letters, supplemented by your personal thoughts and experiences, helps send a consistent message from the dance field to Congress.

Don’t forget to send a copy of your correspondence to Dance/USA. Fax or e-mail a copy to Director of Government Affairs, Amy Fitterer at 202-833-2686 or afitterer@danceusa.org. This information helps us plan legislative strategy. Informational Alerts, which require no action on your part, are sent periodically to the full membership.
