Being the Primary Contact of an Organizational Member
Can I renew my organization's membership?
Yes, but you must be the organization's primary contact (listed on
the organization's member profile). If you are unsure whether you are
the primary contact, please email membership@danceusa.org.
How do I know whether I am our organization’s primary contact?
If you can update your organization’s profile and renew your
organization’s membership online, you are undoubtedly the primary contact. Otherwise,
you are not. In order to renew your organization’s membership, you need
to find out who is the primary contact. We are happy to help you figure
this out; please email the Director of Member Services.
I am not the primary contact, but I have
been designated to renew our organization’s membership for the 2012-13 member year. How
can I become the primary contact?
As you may know, only the primary contact can renew your organization’s
membership. Therefore, if you want to be your organization’s new
primary contact please email Dance/USA's Director of Member Services to
request this change.
We are an organizational member. Do we have an organizational username and password?
No. Dance/USA does not issue username and passwords for
organizations. Instead each individual listed as a staff contact has a
personalized username and password. Again, only the primary contact can
renew your organization's membership or update your organization’s profile.
Selecting a Payment Plan?
I am an organizational member and would like to select a payment plan to pay for my membership. How do I do this?
During the renewal process select the payment plan you desire. Click here for current Dance/USA payment plans. If you choose to make payments using a credit card,
you'll need to log into Dance/USA's website at the appropriate time and
make a payment. Dance/USA does not retain member credit card numbers
for security purposes. If you choose to make payments with a check,
please mail your payment to Dance/USA at the appropriate time. Once
your check is received, it will be processed and applied to your organization's membership profile.
I am an individual member, may I select a payment plan?
Dance/USA, at this time, does not offer individual members a payment plan option.
Paying with a Check or Credit Card?
How can I pay for my membership?
You may pay with a credit card (online) or select to pay by check. If you pay by check, send your payment to:
1111 16th Street, NW
Suite 300
Washington, DC 20036
Until payment is received, your renewal will not be considered renewed.
Does Dance/USA accept all major credit card?
Yes. You may use any major credit card to pay for your annual dues.
Need an Invoice?
I need an invoice for my Dance/USA membership dues? Can I get one?
Absolutely. To request an invoice for your membership dues, email membership@danceusa.org. Depending on your membership type, you may be asked to first log into Dance/USA's website, renew your membership, and select pay by check or credit card.
I want to pay my organization’s dues by credit card, but I still need an invoice. What should I do?
Please renew your membership and update your organization’s profile online and select pay by credit card. After receiving the confirmation email, email membership@danceusa.org to request an invoice, which we will send you via email.
General Renewal Questions
What is Dance/USA’s member year?
The Dance/USA’s member year runs from July 1 to June 30 of any
given year. Our current member year runs from July 1, 2012 to June 30,
2013.
When can I renew my membership? Is there a deadline to renew?
You can renew at anytime between now and September 10, 2012 by logging into Dance/USA’s website by using your personalized username and password.
How do I know if my membership was successfully renewed?
Immediately you will receive a confirmation email from Dance/USA. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, please try again to renew again or call us.
Can I change my membership from one category to another?
Dance/USA does not encourage members to change their membership type. However, we understand that our members need this flexibility and we want you to get the most out of your membership. Thus, if you choose to change your membership category, letting the former membership expire, click on the Become A Member Today and sign-up as a new member under the membership category you desire.
Why won't my renewal go through?
This may be due to the internet browser that you are using. We encourage renewing members to use Firefox, not Internet Explorer.
Why is my financial information not being recognized?
When entering financial information into the Renewal Webpage, use only whole numbers. This means you should not add commas or decimal points to the numbers you are entering.
